Denali's David Lin to Speak at Freescale Technology Forum

Engineering Luminary Discusses Perspective of Industry Trends with High-Speed Interface Solutions

David Lin, vice president of Product Marketing at Denali Software, Inc., will speak on a panel titled, "Trends in High-Speed Interconnects," during the Freescale Technology Forum(FTF), an event sponsored by Freescale Semiconductor and more than 70 partnering companies. The panel session will be held Wednesday, June 27, at the JW Marriott in Orlando, Florida. This panel addresses key areas within the networking enablement markets and appeals to systems architects, SoC project managers, RTL designers, embedded software developers, and verification engineers.

"Trends in High-Speed Interconnects," is a key panel during the FTF, addressing interconnect

trends, including market dynamics, system design challenges and System-on-Chip (SoC)

methodologies that may impact current interconnect strategies. In particular, the panel will
discuss the top three interconnects for embedded designs today: Ethernet, PCI Express® and
RapidIO® technology.

This panel will cover a range of interconnect trends and issues such as:

  • Is there still a need for multiple flavors of interconnects on the market?
  • What challenges do the various interconnects face in adoption today?
  • How are SoC design trends affecting interconnect implementations?
  • How is the trend toward multi-core chips affecting the interconnect?
  • What's the most important factor developers should consider when choosing an interconnect?
