Storage in Operator Netbooks

In the last two years, mobile network operators (MNOs) have largely completed their 3G network roll outs, focusing on upgrading these networks with new technologies, mostly HSPA. As a result, mobile broadband and devices that provide a good web experience that utilize the bandwidth, such as operator subsidized netbooks have become some of the fastest growth areas. Will the MNOs be content increasingly becoming network caretakers, losing control and sharing revenue with content providers providing pipes to app stores or will a more operator controlled model emerge remains to be seen In this session we will explore how netbook architectures evolve in both situations across demographics and what their storage architectures might look like as a consequence.
