Z-RAM: A Better DRAM
Manufacturing a DRAM capacitor is getting monumentally more difficult. A technology which is very similar to DRAM, but without requiring the esoteric processing needed to manufacture the capacitor, Z-RAM is poised to be a realistic successor to DRAM in both embedded and standalone applications. Comprised of only a single transistor, Z-RAM scales well with improvements made to common logic devices. Z-RAM is among the most manufacturable of new memory technologies, with product development already underway at several high-profile customers.
