"Trends in NOR Flash, and an Introduction to Phase Change Memory" View Webcast Now
Greg Komoto,Strategic Planning Manager, Intel Corporation
Duration: 37 minutes
Abstract: In the 2nd half of this two part webcast, you will first learn about the latest trends in NOR flash memory, with a particular focus on emerging memory interfaces. We'll contrast traditional parallel/linear interfaces with newer interfaces like A/D MUX and SPI. Finally, we'll get an introduction to the new Nonvolatile LP DDR interface. Then as a final topic, a new class of memory called "Phase Change Memory" (PCM) will be introduced, including the basics of operation, how it compares to existing memories, and its potential in the future.

"Trends in NAND Flash" View Webcast Now
Greg Komoto,Strategic Planning Manager, Intel Corporation
Ravi Annavajjhala, Marketing Manager NAND Flash Memory Group, Intel Corporation
Duration: 31 minutes
Abstract: In the first of this two-part webcast series, you'll learn about the latest MLC NAND devices from Intel, and also about the potential challenges that exist when adapting to the transitions in the fast-paced world of NAND flash. Fortunately, a range of potential solutions exist to address these challenges. The presenation also includes discussion on progress made by the ONFI standard in helping to manage transitions at the component level, and how to leverage ONFI compliant solutions to help speed your design effort. Finally, the presenters will provide a look at a new product line from Intel that's ideally suited for designs seeking an easy to implement embedded solution; and one that is especially well suited for designs that seek to add large amounts of NAND flash but don't wish to tackle the challenges of integrating "raw" components in their end products.
