1. Favorite male artist?

It's difficult to pinpoint one — Stevie Ray Vaughn, Stevie Wonder, Van Morrison, W.C. Clark.

2. Favorite female artist?

I have several, but Diane Schuur would be at the top of the list.

3. Do you have any formal singing training?

None, whatsoever.

4. What other talents do you have?

Public relations, if you can call that a talent. Actually, I'm a great cook.

5. What was the first concert you attended?

It's been so long ago, I hardly remember. I think it might've been a Kenny Loggins or Neil Diamond concert.

6. Who is your favorite American Idol?

Taylor Hicks, for his bluesy style.

7. Do you have any rituals or things you do each time before you perform?

Perform? I guess if you call occasional cantoring, backed up by my church's contemporary group a performance, then I do. I usually exercise my breathing and practice, practice, practice. Finally, I pray. :)

8. If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have?

Playing a musical instrument well, such as the piano, guitar or violin.

9. Who is your favorite American Idol judge and why?

Paula Abdul.  She provides constructive criticism in a very positive manner — which is what I’m also hoping for during this competition. :)

10. If you win, who will you thank first?

One of my good friends, for pushing me to do this.
