Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Sunnyvale, CA
Successful candidates will work in the Embedded Software design team to architect, design and develop high performance embedded software for memory sub-systems for handset and related embedded devices. In addition the person will work in supporting customer specific requirements for software/hardware interaction as well.
 
Responsibilities:
As part of the Embedded software team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in design and development of embedded software such as Flash File Systems and related tools. The person may take a product through all stages of product life cycle and will require participation in the full software development lifecycle, from software specifications to design, coding, unit and integration testing as well as maintaining the needed software development documentation. Work closely with System Hardware Design Engineers, Product Engineers, to solve cross functional design issues. Must be able to initiate original and creative technical efforts. Work closely with customers and partners.
 
Requirements:
Requires bachelor's degree in CS/CE with 6+ years of professional experience in development of file systems and related tools. Graduate degree a plus. Working knowledge of RTOS, Linux or WinCE is desirable. Experience in embedded software development should include doing system-level software development and support (firmware and device driver development, bootloader/bootcode, BSP and network driver development.)
 
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills. Experience in designing and programming multithreaded C code and device drivers strongly desirable. Fast learner and team player with effective communication skills is a necessity. Hands on experience in firmware development and verification, and problem solving.
 
Very creative and innovative thinker in all areas of system design and debugging. Self-motivated, good teamwork, ability to multi-task, and work effectively in fast paced environment are desired attributes. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Need to be able to work effectively with customers and partners.
