Yuping Chung is currently business director of SST's application specific controller products. In this role, Chung is responsible for SST's product marketing, applications and engineering business aspects for its NAND controller and NAND controller based module products.

Prior to joining SST, Chung was a senior manager for flash product marketing at SimpleTech, a flash memory card company. Prior to SimpleTech, Chung was a director of marketing, sales and applications at MaxNova. Chung has more than 23 years of engineering, sales and marketing experience working with companies such as GetSilicon, Etron Technology, Mitsubishi Electronics, Integrated Device Technology and TMS.

Chung has held board of director positions on the Chinese American Semiconductor Professional Association (CASPA) and Silicon Valley Information and Business Alliance (SVIBA) as well as being a founding member of SVIBA. Chung holds an MS degree in Electrical Engineering and an MS degree in Environmental Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
