Dr. Rick Wietfeldt currently serves as Director, Advanced Connectivity Technology for Qualcomm in San Diego. His responsibilities include connectivity technology planning for Qualcomm's future products... for the handset, computer and consumer, and wireless connectivity businesses.

Prior to joining Qualcomm, Dr. Wietfeldt served in two CTO positions with Texas Instruments between 2003 and 2007... most recently as CTO, Emerging Technologies and Standards, and previously as the OMAP Applications Processor CTO in Dallas.

Dr. Wietfeldt holds a Ph.D. in EE, and is a well known expert and spokesperson for technologies and trends in the wireless and consumer marketplaces.
