Josh Tinker

Josh Tinker is a market development manager with Seagate's Personal Compute Business Unit. He works with customers and industry partners to develop new opportunities for Seagate's desktop and notebook businesses. This currently includes hard-drive based security and hybrid hard disc drives. Before his current assignment, Josh filled the notebook product planning role for Seagate. This included understanding PC hard drive customer requirements, market directions and transitions; understanding the ability of Seagate's R&D to deliver products; and balancing these realities to deliver solid long-term product plans. Since joining Seagate in 1999, he has filled numerous other functions, including working to improve hard drive mechanical design and leading cross-functional teams for servo design, cost efficiency, and reliability.

Josh holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. He is a devoted husband of one and father of four.
