Mr. Venable has more than 25 years experience in the semiconductor industry in engineering, marketing and business development having held senior management positions with Mentor Graphics, Hitachi, Motorola and AMD. At Silicon Image, Mr. Venable is responsible for driving the company's leading HDMI and storage chip technology into the SoC market segment as well as developing new markets for the company's high speed serial interface technology. He has appeared on numerous panels and has written many articles on the semiconductor IP business. Mr. Venable received his degree in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University in 1983.
