Jan Silverman

Jan Silverman guides the development and marketing of Spansion's innovative server memory solutions for data centers, using Spansion® EcoRAM to help reduce energy consumption and increase application performance. He has more than 20 years of computer systems experience and previously held executive management and R&D positions at Cray, SGI, Hewlett-Packard, Apollo Computer and Lockheed Martin.

At Cray, Silverman was the senior vice president of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. In this capacity, he drove the company's business and marketing strategies and led Cray's product management and marketing organizations. While at SGI, he was the senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, focusing on industry-specific business development, product marketing, IP and OEM licensing. Jan held senior product marketing positions in Hewlett-Packard's server and workstation groups and also led the company's early Internet program and microprocessor strategy. At Lockheed Martin, he was a senior software engineer.

Jan holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. degree in computer science from Lehigh University.
