Gary Ruggles is Director of Marketing and Business Development for PHY Products at ARM.
He has over twenty years of experience in the field of electronics and integrated circuit design and has spent the last nine years working on the development, sales and marketing of high-speed serial link (SerDes) IP. Prior to ARM, Gary served as Director of Worldwide Sales for Serial Link Products at Artisan Components until the acquisition by ARM in 2004. Previously, he was Program Manger at Cadence Design Systems in 1998, where he managed the design of Cadence's first CMOS-based gigabit Ethernet transceiver. Gary began his career as Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University. At NCSU, Dr. Ruggles taught courses in Solid State Physics and VLSI Processing and Design and gave lectures for the National Technological University. Dr. Ruggles holds BS, MS and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University.
