Avi Klein is a Principal Engineer focused on Flash Technology and Market Knowledge at SanDisk Corporation, Milpitas, CA.
In his role, Avi performs extensive research of Flash markets and the competitive landscape; Flash technology, both current and future; and provides knowledge, consultancy, analysis, and training services across the company organizations. Avi also participates in company strategic discussions. Prior to the acquisition of msystems by SanDisk, Avi was Director of Flash Technology at msystems, dealing mainly with technology assessment, market research, business development and corporate strategy.
Avi has more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, mostly at Intel, where he held managerial positions in the fields of Engineering, Yield, Process Integration, Quality and Reliability, Technology Transfer, Failure Analysis (FA) Lab and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).
Avi earned his degree in Process/Chemical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel and MBA from Kellogg - Recanati International Executive MBA program of Northwestern University and Tel Aviv University. Avi has special interest in emerging technologies for non volatile memory, nanotechnology and enterprise knowledge management.
