Arun Kamat

Arun Kamat has over 25 years of semiconductor marketing experience and is currently Vice President of Marketing at Hynix Semiconductor America, a position he has held since 2006. He is responsible for strategic marketing and communications at Hynix. Mr. Kamat's duties involve the identification of new markets and products, new technologies and alliances for the corporation, in addition to marketing communications.

Prior to joining Hynix Semiconductor, Mr. Kamat was Vice President of Marketing at Netlist Inc., a start-up specializing in the design and manufacture of proprietary memory modules for server and communications applications. Mr. Kamat held this position for approximately four years and played a key role in taking the company public in late 2006.

Mr. Kamat received his MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, and a MBA from Rutgers University, New Jersey, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class. Mr. Kamat is fluent in three languages, in addition to a smattering knowledge of Korean. When time permits, he loves to travel internationally to enjoy and absorb the world's diversity.
