The Cadence Stars & Strikes Program has to be one of Kathy's proudest achievements. What began as a grassroots $50,000 fundraiser in the early 90's has become a major fundraising event in Silicon Valley with support from many of our EDA colleagues, customers, suppliers and employees. The fundraiser has netted more than $1 million a year since 2001, for a total of over $12.5M. In 2002 Kathy introduced a synchronized Spirit of Stars & Strikes fundraising program to sites worldwide; now approximately 18 Cadence field site locations participate and together have raised over $1.5M for their local communities.

Kathy's personal volunteering has included training for a 100 mile bike ride with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program and raising over $11,000; volunteering for the Red Cross as a call center supervisor after Hurricane Katrina/Rita; and working as a Child Advocate for abused and neglected kids in the foster care system.
